The Belt uses three identical images to highlight different aspects of the painting. The Hiawatha Belt graces the middle of a diamond-shaped frame decorated with traditional Haudenosaunee patterns. The original belt design is embellished above and below with a Skydome pattern mimicking Wampum strings. The Hiawatha Belt visually represents the original five nations of the Haudenosaunee, but today this symbol represents all of the Six Nations. The predominant color scheme of the painting is purple and white with a pop of neon green.
